Tips: Slime Coverage

As the slug hits you with slime, you will be increasingly covered in the sticky stuff, making things increasingly difficult. Your ability to defend yourself with salt bombs and other weapons, is increasingly hindered, as is your ability to walk, either toward the slug or away. Here's a full list of levels of coverage and what they mean to you:

Hands and Chest

Struggle Difficulty: Low

Can Rip Out: Yes

Can Throw: Yes

In the first two hits, the slime will hit you square in your chest and then stomach, and your reflexes will get your hands mired, sticking them in place. You still have some ability to throw items, although your aim will be hindered, more so after the second hit. Your ability to do other more delicate actions, such as feeding is lost, however. You'll have to free your hands before doing any of that. Pulling your hands out of the slime takes some elbow grease, but it can be done with some effort.

Legs and Feet

Struggle Difficulty: Medium

Can Rip Out: Only if you're in more clothes than just a bra

Can Throw: Yes

The slime hits your legs, gluing them in place. At this point, you cannot move anywhere or escape, and your throwing ability has been hindered even more, although you can still do it.

Fallen

Struggle Difficulty: High

Can Rip Out: Only if you're in more clothes than just a bra

Can Throw: No

If you get hit while your feet are stuck, you'll fall down into the puddle below, either backwards or forwards. You'll lose the ability to throw anything, and your chances of pulling yourself out, while possible, is unlikely. You still have the option to rip out of your clothing or use glue remover, if that's available.

Nearly Fully Covered

Struggle Difficulty: Very High

Can Rip Out: Only if you're in more clothes than just a bra

Can Throw: No

The slug, who will continue to attack while its prey is down, will continue to cover you in its slime. At this point you still have a small chance of getting out, and this is your last chance to rip out of your clothing or use some glue remover.

Fully Covered

Struggle Difficulty: Impossible

Can Rip Out: No

Can Throw: No

At this point, you've been completely overwhelmed in adhesive slime, covering you from head to toe. You can struggle, but it will all be in vain at this point, as the slug, if it is able to, will approach your stuck body closer and closer. You're too slimed to even rip out, and you can't use any slime remover at this point. You're a sitting duck. It's only after a few hours that the slime will lose its adhesive strength, when you can escape again.
