History
Pollyville was originally built as an outpost after discovery of nearby tar pits gave prospectors the impression that oil could be refined here. After finding that the tar is too thick and sticky to be efficiently mined, the settlement was quickly abandoned. Little is known about its history between then and a few years ago, although it is believed to be a relatively newly resettled town, most of its modern structures constructed at around the time Gloodood Industries built its headquarters. Gloodood Industries owns a number of buildings in the town, including an apartment building that houses its interns, The Sticky Queen's residence, which is a large mansion on the western part of town, and even the police precinct.
Crime
Pollyville is thought to have a rampant sex trafficking ring, as reported by anonymous interns who have walked its streets while scantily clad. Ring leaders have been accused of targeting vulnerable young women who show too much skin, and are beaten to submission and forced to serve patrons. Other than this risk, assaults from alcoholic drunks and burglaries are also common. Data is hard to come by, as public records on crime are scarce.
Economy
The town's main employer is Gloodood Industries, and 96% of its workforce works for Gloodood Industries or one of its subsidiaries. The region also has a small lumber industry, as well as a retail and entertainment industry in downtown. Its GDP is unknown, since Gloodood keeps its revenue and profit data top secret.
Transportation
Pollyville is served by a small airport which has only one airline and destination, Sydney, Australia that runs only once a month. The airline, Gloodood Express, has a single-aircraft fleet of Boeing 767F aircraft, making it the only airline that has cargo and passenger services on the same aircraft.
